A chance to sit back and relax with a cuppa and home-made cake; watch an engaging, thought-provoking DVD; and chat to other Catholics from Newbury, Wash Common, Thatcham, Pangbourne, Theale and St Mary’s, Woolhampton. Did we mention there’s homemade cake?
What are the DVDs about?
This is a series of talks produced by CaFE (Catholic Faith Exploration) which use nationally-known speakers to inspire and entertain you and bring the Bible alive. There are 5 sessions:
- Where on Earth is God?
- The Father’s Promises
- Passion for Jesus
- Our Royal Inheritance
- To Boldly Go!
When is it?
8pm on Tuesdays, starting 30th October and running until 4th December. Each talk stands alone but we hope you’ll come to as many as you can. Otherwise we’ll have to eat the cake ourselves.
Where is it?
St Francis de Sales Church, Warren Road, Wash Common Newbury, Berkshire, RG14 6NH (turn left just beyond Park House School as you travel south, then second right).
How much does it cost?
Just like the love of Jesus, it’s completely free.
Where can I get a ticket?
Because of the hall capacity, you will need a ticket – too tricky to have anyone removing the roof to be lowered in… Now that we are up and running, tickets are available on the door on the night, so just turn up. Doors open at 7.50pm. Any questions? Phone Angela Jordan 01635 33023 or Kieran Bourke 07969890870.
