Here you see the magazine editors (Parish Communications group) at one of our mag meetings. There were times when we wished we had something stronger than tea! - still we had to stay sober and focused on the job in hand.

After careful analysis of the costs in producing the 2nd and subsequent editions of this magazine the parish decided to invest in its own colour printer (HP 3700DTN). The printer would also be at the disposal of the dioceses for any colour printing that may be needed in between magazine issues.

In deciding what to call magazine, we considered about 50 possible names for the new magazine and eventually agreed on BEACON standing for Christ is our Light to show us The Way and also the fact that it has a symbolic local connection (Beacon Hill).
